CertikLabs / the lab
Who tests the peptides — and why you can trust the answer.
A verification seal is only worth what the lab behind it is worth. Here is who performs CertikLabs analysis, how a sealed vial becomes a published record, and the rules that keep a paying brand from buying a friendly result.
Who does the testing
Our own lab. Never the seller’s.
CertikLabs analysis is performed in-house, by CertikLabs analysts, in the CertikLabs laboratory. It is never performed by the manufacturer or seller of the peptide, and never outsourced to a lab the vendor picks. That separation is the entire point of third-party testing: the entity reporting the result has no stake in it.
The lab is pre-launch, with accreditation in progress and targeted for 2027. Until accreditation is granted, every record is published with its methods and raw-data references, so the work can be evaluated on its merits rather than on a certificate on the wall.
The core panel for every peptide: identity by LC-HRMS, purity by RP-HPLC with the full method published, and quantitative content against a calibrated reference.
The process
From sealed vial to public record, in six steps.
1. Sealed submission
The brand ships sealed, lot-labeled vials directly to the lab. Every shipment is logged under a documented chain of custody: who sent it, when it arrived, and the condition of the seal, photographed at receipt.
2. Identity by LC-HRMS
High-resolution mass spectrometry confirms the molecule is what the label claims: observed mass against the theoretical mass of the declared sequence, with the deviation reported in the record.
3. Purity by RP-HPLC
Reverse-phase HPLC with the full method published — column, mobile phase, gradient, detection wavelength — so the purity number is reproducible, not just asserted.
4. Quantitative content
How many milligrams of actual peptide are in the vial, measured against a calibrated reference — the number that separates a real assay from a label claim.
5. Second-analyst review
A second analyst reviews the raw data and the calculated results before anything is published. No record goes live on a single pair of eyes.
6. Public record and QR
The finished record is published to the public verification index with a lot-specific page and QR code the brand can print on packaging. Blockchain anchoring of the record hash is planned, not yet live.
Independence
The rules that keep a paying brand from buying a result.
We never test our own product
CertikLabs does not manufacture or sell peptides. There is no house brand, no affiliate catalog, and no equity in any vendor we test.
The fee buys the analysis, not the outcome
Brands pay a flat fee for the work. Methods and acceptance criteria are fixed before the sample arrives, and a failed result is published as a failed result.
No preview, no edits, no suppression
Brands do not see results before publication and cannot edit or withdraw a published record. Corrections are appended, never overwritten.
Methods are public
Every record names the instruments, methods, and acceptance criteria used, so any competent lab can reproduce the measurement.
Frequently asked questions
Who tests the peptides for CertikLabs?
CertikLabs runs its own analytical laboratory. Testing is performed in-house by CertikLabs analysts — never by the manufacturer or seller of the peptide, and never outsourced to a lab the vendor chooses. The lab is pre-launch, with accreditation targeted for 2027.
Is CertikLabs independent from the brands it tests?
Yes. CertikLabs does not manufacture, sell, or hold equity in any peptide brand. Brands pay a flat fee for analysis and cannot see, edit, or suppress a result before publication. A failed result is published as a failed result.
How does a sample get tested?
A brand submits sealed, lot-labeled vials under a documented chain of custody. The lab logs receipt, photographs the seal, then runs identity (LC-HRMS), purity (RP-HPLC), and quantitative content. Results are reviewed by a second analyst before the record is published with a public verification page and QR code.
Can a brand pay for a better result?
No. The fee covers the analysis, not the outcome. Methods, instruments, and acceptance criteria are fixed before the sample arrives, and every record — pass or fail — is published to the public verification index.
Is the lab accredited?
Not yet. CertikLabs is pre-launch and accreditation is in progress, targeted for 2027. Until accreditation is granted, records are published with methods and raw-data references so anyone can evaluate the work directly.
