The site assistant
- What can the CertikLabs site assistant answer?
- The assistant answers questions about CertikLabs and its published pages — testing packages, prices, turnaround, how to submit a sample, and what our verification reports contain. It answers only from CertikLabs' public information and does not give dosing, medical, or clinical guidance.
- Are my chats with the assistant saved?
- Yes. Each conversation is stored on our side so the assistant remembers the thread and cannot be tricked by forged replies. Saved chats can be read by CertikLabs staff, who may reply directly inside your chat (marked "Reply from the CertikLabs team"). Chats are never published. Starting a new conversation creates a separate record. Because chats are stored, don't put anything confidential in them.
- What happens to my live chats with the CertikLabs team?
- Live chats are stored so our staff can reply. As a guest, your chat is tied to a secret key kept in your browser, so only that browser can open it. If you choose "Save this chat" and sign in with an email link or Google, the chat is linked to your name and email, and replies follow you to any device where you sign in. Staff see your name and email next to the chat.
- Is there a limit on how many questions I can ask the assistant?
- Yes. Each visitor can ask up to 20 questions per hour and 60 per day, with a site-wide cap to keep costs predictable. Counting uses a one-way hash of your IP address — the address itself is not stored. Requests must also come from this site.
Search tracking
- What is 'search tracking'?
- Search tracking is how we monitor our own pages in Google Search. We keep a curated list of certiklabs.com URLs and periodically record aggregate Search Console statistics for each: clicks, impressions, average position, and whether structured data like FAQ results are appearing.
- Does search tracking collect data about visitors?
- No. The numbers we store are aggregate counts per page over a rolling 28-day window — they don't identify who searched, what they typed, or which result they clicked. Those statistics come from Google Search Console about our own listings; visitor analytics on the site itself are limited to anonymous page views.
- Who can see the search tracking data?
- Only CertikLabs staff, inside our console. The data is about our own site's performance, so there's nothing personal in it, and it isn't published anywhere on the site.
Photo privacy
- Where are sample photos stored?
- Photos uploaded in the vendor dashboard live in private storage — there is no public web address for them. They are shared only through expiring, signed links created for specific members of the same workspace.
- How long do sample photo links last?
- A link stops working about a minute after it's created. When a member is removed from a workspace, they immediately lose the ability to create new links, and any link they copied earlier stops working within that same minute.
- Do public verification pages serve photos or files from that storage?
- No. Public verification pages generate their report documents on the fly and don't serve anything out of the photo storage.
